12 Days of Holiday Cheer Giveaway Day 7: Nicole by OPI Merry Must Have Minis
Day 5 Winner Announcement: The winner (via Random.org) of this giveaway series for Day 5 is Octopus818! Congratulations to her, and she will receive the American Apparel Lip Gloss Trio. I so enjoyed reading all of your answers to the Question of the Day, which was Let's go back to our childhoods...what is the first Christmas/Holiday gift you remember receiving? Our winner answered The first Christmas gift I remember getting was a plastic frog toy with butterfly wings, probably a character from some cartoon I can't remember. What I think makes me remember the toy so well is because it got lost/buried in the gift-unwrapping process, so I got to open one last gift after I thought we were all done opening presents for that year.
Day 7 of our 12 Days of Holiday Cheer Giveaway features the Nicole by OPI 4-piece mini set called Merry Must Have Minis. Here's a reminder of the rules: Just answer the day's question (below) and leave your eMail in the comments (or check back to see if you've won if you don't feel comfortable leaving your address. You can then eMail me at mej0620@hotmail.com). U.S. residents only, Followers only (includes Google Friend Connect, subscribers, social media followers).
Happy Holidays, from me, to you!
12 Days of Holiday Cheer Question Day 5: Do you enjoy the wrapping phase of the whole gift-giving experience?
My Answer: No, no, a thousand times, no! I hate wrapping so much because I always have so many presents to wrap every year. Don't get me wrong, I love the giving part, and I start my shopping in plenty of time so I don't get too stressed out and disorganized about that part. Every year I tell myself that I'm going to start wrapping early or promise myself to wrap x-amount of presents each week, and I never follow through. I put it off and then end up wrapping for hours on end starting about December 22!
(note: I personally celebrate the Christmas Holiday, but I hope my questions are able to be interpreted for whatever Holiday you celebrate, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, etc.).
Each day's giveaway will be open for 48 hours. I know some of you subscribe via eMail and don't receive posts until a day or two later. Winners will be announced approximately 48 hours after each giveaway is posted.
I don't mind it because there are so few gifts I have to wrap. Most of my family is far away, so we mostly shop online and have things sent. If I had to do lots, I'd probably tear my hair out ;).

I find the repetitive motion of wrapping quite therapeutic, so I actually enjoy it quite a lot!

No, I hate wrapping! I like using gift bags, but wrapped gifts (using wrapping paper) stack up much better under the tree. Plus, no peeking :)

I so love wrapping! I'm the official gift wrapper in my family every year. I love all the cheerful colors and bows :)

I love wrapping gifts! I love matching the wrapping paper, ribbon, and name tags. It puts me in the holiday spirit!

I make a production out of wrapping - curling metallic ribbon to place under the bow. I still haven't mastered cutting the right amount of wrapping paper so the ends of boxes tend to looks like they're cushioned. My back hurts after wrapping for what seems like forever but, it's satisfying seeing a pile of gifts that I've decorated to the hilt. So, as painful as it is, I love wrapping gifts.
ReplyDeleteif it's a box shape, yes. if not, I get really frustrated lol.

I really enjoy it for the first few, but after a while it becomes tiresome and I start to get a little sloppy.
ReplyDeleteI'm not crazy about wrapping just cause I'm not too good at it. It never comes out the way I want it to!

I like to wrap gifts, I love making them pretty and adding my own personal touch to it. whether it be a bow or a ribbon. It gets me ready!

I used to absolutely love doing gift wrapping; I would go all out and the wrap job/presentation would be part of the gift. But, now, I'm just so darn tired of it. LOL I've gone backwards with the whole domestic diva thing... I burnt myself out early. Now, I'm just lazy... Ha Ha!

I do not enjoy wrapping at all. I cannot artfully wrap a present to save my life. They all come out looking like a toddler wrapped them.
ReplyDeleteI'm not good at wrapping and it's not my favorite thing, however when people are good at it and make it part of the experience it sure is a wonderful touch.

I love wrapping presents! I would always bug my mom to let me wrap everyone's presents! I'm not very good at wrapping them but I love it anyway.

I don't mind the wrapping process, but I usually put it off too!

Thanks!
I am not crazy about the wrapping, i am TERRIBLE at it lol

I don't have a lot of gifts to wrap so the amount doesn't bother me. And now that I actually know how to wrap correctly, I love wrapping and making the gifts look pretty for those I love.

I'm not big on wrapping, but it's okay. I'm not that great at it, so I stick with very basic wrapping.

You know what it looks like when a child wraps? That's about what mine looks like. I never get the paper even, I use gobs of tape and still have pieces sticking up. I can't tie a bow unless it was on a shoe. But I throw some love in and send them off that way and just hope that the person is too intent on opening to notice.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the wrapping part! it's so much fun to choose boxes and bags and wrapping paper and ribbons!! it works out for my husband and i since he hates wrapping. it's always so adorably bad when he gives me his gift :P
