Good-bye Summer...Hello Fall Giveaway: SpaRitual
Welcome to the first giveaway in my Good-bye Summer...Hello Fall Week! All of the products offered during this weeklong series have been selected to help you celebrate the Fall season with Autumnal tones, useful products to help you transition to the cooler temperatures in the air, and most of all, products that make us happy on the inside! We talk a lot about products that help us look better on the outside, but as my blog's tag line says, happiness for the soul. I'm a firm believer that if something makes me happy inside, that radiates to the outside. As crazy as it may sound to some people, I think the majority of my readers (including myself!) find a lot of little pleasures in beauty products, and there's nothing wrong with that. These products give us confidence by making us look and feel better, and we simply enjoy them!THE PRIZE! One follower will receive SpaRitual's Fall mini collection, Wilde. I picked up two sets recently from AveYou, one for myself and one for a giveaway. Four of the shades come packaged in a cute little bag. I'm adding the other two shades that make the collection complete, because I personally think everyone needs a bottle of Sacred Ground in their life, and that was not included in the four piece gift set.

I love fall, it's by far my favourite season. I was born and bred in Burgundy, so one of my favourite smell of Fall is that of the grapes you pick up in the vineyards after the harvest, it smells and tastes like no other grapes, and it's linked to the smell of the apple pie my mother always left in the oven so that it would be ready for when we got back home after the Sunday afternoon walks. The feeling of brisk humid weather that smells of fallen leaves and makes you so happy to come home to a warm pie and cup of tea... that's all my childhood!! See? I love fall so much that I could go on and on and on about it!!

ReplyDeleteI lost my sense of smell almost two years ago now but I still have memories to pretty fall smells. For me fall is pumpkin pie, apple cider with cinnamon, and fallen leaves. An apple pie in the oven is the best smell to come home to!

I love the smell of cider and cinnamon, but colors are what I love above all about the fall :-) And that it's my Bday... Well, I really like getting pretty presents LOL but it's really just too bad you have to pay for it so dearly with adding yet another number to the dreaded age count ;-) But this year I am finally in New England for fall again, so I don't care one bit that I am going to turn 45. I am going to kick up and dance through pretty leaves and channel my inner child :-)

Wow thank you for thinking about a "soft" transition to Fall (I'm feeling sad to see daylight shorter every day) :-) A typical smell of Fall for me is that of roast chestnuts (yummy, a typical October/Nov treat here!), and that pervasive of humid earth covered with fallen leaves.

I love Fall because it is so nostalgic! I love the smell of Fall. I don't know how to describe, when the sky is cloudy and there is that chilling feeling in the air and it smells like wet dirt (but not like the wet dirt when it rains) because of the humidity in the air! I love that smell. And the smell of sweet potatoes roasting and chestnuts. Also candles burning (Halloween time! :P). I don't know why but, maybe because it's when school starts, I love the smell of books and paper ^__^. These scents usually tell me Fall is here! And then there is also the colours of this time! But that's another subject :P

ReplyDeleteMine is a little wierd - my favorite fall smell is leather. It's the time of year when everyone wears their jackets, shoes, boots, bags, etc. It's everywhere! You can't get away from that rich smell. And it only lasts a short time as either the smell fades away or our noses get used to it. THAT'S how I know that fall is officially here.

I love the smell of freshly sharpened pencils, which is so back-to-school and fall-y. Too bad everyone uses mechanical nowadays (including myself).

ReplyDeleteAround here this time of yr marks apple harvest and fresh *unpasteurized* apple cider so if you leave it in the frig, it starts to ferment in a week. Just a little sparkle to it and yum! Next it's keeping the inside of all the hard part of the pumpkins. I cook it up like it were sweet potatoes. YUM - and pumpkin soup!!!

Lovely giveaway! I love the smell of Halloween. California doesn't always get all of the Fall smells since we don't really have Fall. (Some people think we don't have seasons; I just think they're shorter, more subtle, and in random order.) But without fail, every year on Halloween, it always smells exactly like Fall. There's just a crispness in the air that I love.

I don't have a specific fall smell, but the thing I hate at fall is that weird smell I get when walking by people's garden bushes... It's like very strong pee smell and it really churns your stomach ! Who one earth would want a bush that stinks, especially when you're in the UK and it rains pretty much most of the time ! ARRRRRGGGHGHH!
