Clinique Fall 2011 GWP & Some Fall Black Honey Items

Clinique is a brand that I can normally pass on for the most part, but I'll admit that I've been a fan of their Black Honey Almost Lipstick for many years. When I saw their Fall Black Honey Collection, there were a few items that caught my eye, so I thought I'd take advantage of their Fall Gift With Purchase and pick those items up. The GWP is free with a purchase of $21.50.

Here's what's included:

•Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion
•Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief
•Colour Compact
•Instant Lift for Brows in Soft Blonde
•Different Lipstick in Tenderheart
•High Impact Mascara in Brightening Black
•Cosmetic bag

The first item I wanted from the Fall Black Honey Collection was the Gradient Powder Blush, simply named Black Honey. It doesn't have a strong gradient effect, but it looks like a good color combination for my skin tone ranging from peach to a rosy brown. This retails for $29.50. It comes in a heavy silver palette with wide rib imprints.

The other item I picked up from this collection is the Black Honey Brush-On Cream Liner. This shade is a reddish medium brown with delicate subtle gold shimmer. It dries almost instantly, and less than a minute after I swatched it on my hand, it didn't smear at all. This retails for $15.00.

My town is very small, so the only big name brands at the only counter in town are Clinique, Lancome, and Estee Lauder. The Clinique counter is the only one that seems to have the current collections in on a timely basis, so I was happy they had these available. I wanted to get some items from Lancome's Fall Collection and Estee Lauder's Fall Collection, but they said they wouldn't have those in for a couple of weeks, and that they no longer stock Lancome's nail polish. So I guess I'll be ordering those items on line.

Are you a Clinique fan? I'd like to see them come out with a wider range of cosmetics, because I do like the few pieces I have. Maybe they'd even consider doing some nail polish again!

  3. I LOVE the black honey! I love how it looks different on everyone. I picked up the lipstick/lipgloss duo. It's GORGEOUS <3 Perfect for fall!!I love the blush too. I'd have to go to the counter and let them put it on me. I'm usually more into brighter colors like Lancome's shimmer coral sunset and shimmering pink pool : ) Love the bag too! It's so cute. What store did it come from? I just got a GWP from Clinique and that's not what the bag looked like : (

  4. I've been using the Clinique 3 step systems for many years.

I also prefer to use their mascara and foundations. I stay away from most of the other stuff usually unless it's in the GWP. I do love the Chubby Sticks!

  5. Oooh, I want both of the things you bought, too. I'm crazy for blush and that eyeliner looks gorgeous!

  6. I've been a fan of Clinique for ages, but haven't gotten much lately except for the Moisture surge-which is worth every penny. Now I'm using their tinted version.

  7. I've been wanting this collection. The eyeshadows are so pretty and soft. I don't have many of their cosmetics. Must look into buying more.

  8. what a fantastic gift! over here, we must spend over $60 for a GWP :(

  9. I really like their lipglosses, especially since they last forever & have SPF. I can't wait to get my hands on the Almost Lipstick/Lipgloss duo! I hope my counter's having a GWP, too.

  10. I grew up through my 20's with Clinique. I am liking the blush here a ton - now so much the liner - only because with my coloring it would give me that crying eye look - too much red in it for my green eyes.

  11. I've been a fan of Clinique for so long. Their Naturally Glossy mascara is my HG! And the 3 Step Facial System is what got me through both my pregnancies and the weirdo skin that came with them. I still use it a couple times a week to refresh my face really well.

I've been eyeing the Black Honey collection. Looks lovely!

  12. anything with "honey" in it, is appealing to me lol
