Cover Girl NailSlicks Fail!

Here's a looks at some rather ugly Cover Girl NailSlicks! I've had these sitting on my desk for a while now, so even though I thought they looked less than stellar in the bottle, I just wanted to be sure. And now I'm sure! I picked up a lot of 10/$10 on eBay because it had a couple of the sparkly IceSlicks in it that I wanted, but these are just--not very pretty. Too frosty, too get the idea.

Above is Bronze Glace, a pale bronze shimmer, and below is Silver Plum, a subtle lavender shimmer with a hint of grey.

Silver Belle is a medium silver shimmer that comes complete with a whole lot of streaks!

It wasn't a total loss, because I was able to get some of the IceSlicks, but I was hoping there might be something else desirable in the lot. I find that the lighter shimmers in the NailSlicks line are not nearly as nice as the darker shimmers and some of the cremes in this line. Maybe these will make their way into a Franken--or into the trash can!

  1. Aw, that's disappointing! But life is too short for ugly nail polish! I'm kind of curious what a master frankener could do with these though.

  2. I actually like Silver Bell... wish it was deeper! Maybe you can make something fun out of it ;)

  3. Hey Mary:

Happy Palm Sunday! I didn't think these were still around. I remember the TV commercials with Christie Brinkley, if I recall. and this was then hottest nail polish around. At least the commercials made you think so. So sad for these though, the colors don't pop out like the ones you always show.

    Mc Huggs :)

  4. Never in the trash can! I'm sure someone would want them. Maybe you can put them in your blog sale. Sell them as a bundle. Or you can try some frankens with them.

  5. Hi <3
All you nail-bloggers have inspired me, so I have opened a nail-blog too! It would mean a lot to me if you take a look (And leave a comment even if my blog is on norwegian) <3 Big hugs from Thea (PS: Sry my bad english!)

  6. It feels kinda wrong to throw these away. They've lasted this long, even if they are ugly...hehe.
