Zoya Intimate: Dove, Gemma & Marley

Zoya's Intimate Collection is probably my favorite Spring 2011 collection because of its assortment of subtle shades that for the most part, aren't the typical shades associated with a Spring color palette. It's also a collection with 3 different finishes, so that appeals to me. I mentioned in my post showing the other three shades that this collection is subtle, trendy, and a little edgy. These shades are not strictly seasonal shades, so I appreciate that versatility.

Below: Dove is a pale grey creme that doesn't seem to have any cast of another color mixed in. Described as a soft, delicate light neutral gray, this shade applied well using three coats. Two coats didn't quite do it for me, so I went with a third.

Below: Gemma definitely gives this collection a kick of color, and the subtle iridescent violet and blue shimmer takes this lighter olive shade from drab to fab. This shade applied exceptionally well and I used two coats.

Below: Marley is a lovely lighter shade of lavender with hidden shimmer. I have a lot of lavender shades that are pink-based, but this one is grey-based--which personally, I like better. This looks more like a creme finish, but the shimmer adds a very delicate pearly finish in brighter lighting. I used three coats to get opaque coverage.

Did you pick up any of the shades from the Intimate Collection? Do you have a favorite Spring polish collection this year?

  1. A lot of the Spring Collections have similar toned-down shades but maybe one or two that stands out. For me, it's Danii and Gemma from Zoya. They look so creamy!

  2. I really really really want to get my hands on the Intimate collection. They're such beautiful colors!

  3. love this collection! my fav is gemma.

  4. Gemma is so pretty. I want to order them all but I will resist.

  5. I hate Zoya because of their Customer Service, Only if there is a sale would I purchase from them. Dove looks lovely though.
