Maybelline Spring 2011
Before I begin, I blame Nouveau Cheap for this haul! She posted display pictures here of Maybelline's Spring Collection, and I knew I'd have to hunt it down. Surprisingly, both Walgreens stores I went into had them out already. With Walgreens offering 40% off of Maybelline this week, and the $1.00 coupons that are located on the display, the polishes were only $1.69 each. The register reward printed out another $1.00 off coupon for more Maybelline, but I think I'm all set for now!

All of these are on the sheer side, and I used 3 coats on the nail wheels. When I use these on my nail, I'll likely use Revlon Powder Puff as a base, then apply just one or two coats for a wash of color. This is such a pretty palette of pastels for Spring!
Below: With 40% off and $1.00 coupons, I couldn't resist picking up a few more items from this collection. I wear lip gloss 95% of the time, but I was intrigued with the shades of Colorsensational lip sticks. The eye shadow palettes are my go-to colors, so I picked up a couple of those also.

I usually pick up the some of the polishes from Maybelline's seasonal LE collections, but for some reason, I was really drawn to many of the other products and their shades in this offering. What do you think? Do you see anything you like?
molto carino il tuo blog...ti seguo volentieri..se vuoi nel mio piccolo mondo le porte sono aperte anche per te! <3

Oh I like those polishes - we dont tend to get these exciting colours from Maybeline in New Zealand. I saw for the first time ever about a week ago a blue polish sold here by them. we tend to just get the pinks and reds here in the supermarkets.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous polish colors!!
ReplyDeleteA little too light, but still gorgeous!
Really light shades in this collection. Not necessarily a bad thing though!
ReplyDeletehaha i seriously thought this was some old dusty collection. when i saw 2011 i was like: WHAT? frosts look so old
ReplyDeleteThey are gorgeously spring-like! Wish drugstores out here would offer such discounts on new collections...
ReplyDeleteNot interested in the polishes but Pink Beam looks interesting--really pretty in that picture!
ReplyDeleteI like most of this collection looks gorgeous!! but i really like the look of Blue Brilliance and Pink Beam!!
ReplyDeleteOooh, they're pretty but look too sheer for my liking.
ReplyDeleteI think I have to buy Firefly for the name alone! (Best. Show. Ever.)
ReplyDeletei love everything! thanks for sharing. LOL
ReplyDeleteYay! Thanks for the swatches! I think I'm going to pick up Sunlight and that mild-mannered duochrome. The lip gloss looks really tempting, too.
ReplyDeleteNice haul! i havent seen these yet, Great deal :D
ReplyDeletethe pinks and purples look really nice.. not sure about that yellow though
ReplyDeleteJust went to Walgreens today after seeing your post and picked up a Colorsensational in PINK SAND. :D Such a great sale!

I am salivating over all of those polishes and one of the lipsticks and that gloss, as well. Hmmm... I wonder if they will ever be seen in my town.
ReplyDeleteMust get to Walgreen's soon. :D
They're all so pretty. They just scream Spring! Like the lipsticks. Pink Beam may be way to light for me. I'll like the shimmer in it. Great sale at Walgreens.
ReplyDeleteBlue Brilliance and Lilac Luster are gorgeous. I wonder if I could pull off Sunlight. I couldn't find them at my Walgreens yet, but I'm keeping an eye out.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the quick swatches. I picked out Sunlight and Blue Brilliance to get from the display picture, so excited to see they are indeed awesome
ReplyDeleteLovely nail polish colours :)

First of all, THANK YOU for the shout-out! So glad you found the post useful!
ReplyDeleteSecond, OMG, you have officially made me want to buy every single shade of polish! So if I enabled you, you enabled me right back. :)
By the way, one of my readers said that Wags prints a $1 coupon after *every* Maybelline purchase, you could theoretically buy them all individually, one by one, and save a dollar a pop each time. That would come in handy if your display is already missing all of the coupons (like mine was). :)
Thanks so much for the swatches! I ended up getting three of them today and they're beautiful. Do you think you might possibly put up swatches of the lipsticks and lip gloss? They're super pretty but I'm kind of afraid of getting them without seeing swatches first.
ReplyDeleteI picked some up of these today!!! Did you have any weird-ness with the brush? Mine were all very stiff...
ReplyDeletei need pink beam and first light! thanks for sharing!!
ReplyDeleteI picked up pink beam & glistening pink :) such pretty colors; thanks for the swatches! I think I might have to pick up first light too, haha.
