Barielle Acquired by Fisk Industries

I personally am not familiar with Fisk Industries, but I think this might be their web site here. I'm not certain that this is the same Fisk Industries, but after doing some searching, it does sound like it could be the one.
Fisk acquires Barielle brand
February 4, 2011 By Antoinette Alexander
NEW YORK — Fisk Industries, a manufacturer of niche-oriented cosmetics and health and beauty aid products, has acquired the Barielle line of nail, skin and foot care products.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
More than 30 years ago, Barielle introduced its original nail strengthener cream as the first product of its kind. Originally formulated to condition the hooves of thoroughbred racehorses, the formula helps nails grow healthier and stronger while resisting splits, peels and breaks. When the jockeys applied the cream and noticed improved nails, the product was reformulated for women and men.
Since that time, the Barielle line has expanded to include a wide range of creams and lacquers to help prevent damage to hands and feet. The products are for those consumers experiencing weak, discolored, splitting and hard-to-grow nails.
All Barielle lacquers are toluene, formaldehyde and dibutyl phthalate (DBP) free. Instead keratin, protein, vitamins, oil and plant extracts are used.
Fisk stated that it hopes to launch the brand into new avenues of distribution both domestically and internationally.

Well, I hope it ends up being a positive thing. I'm not familiar with Fisk either.
ReplyDeleteThis makes me sad. Just like with the way etailers are going (higher prices, less selection), it's the end of an era. I mean, I guess I'm happy for the companies. I'm not going to begrudge anyone success. It just sucks because it feels like everything is going mainstream.
ReplyDeleteI am not surprised to see all of this after the report that Nail Polish purchases are up so much over the last few years...it was bound to happen!
ReplyDeleteLooks like Barielle will soon be another brand carried by Sally Beauty...another one that we won't be able to get there before the employees snatch 'em all up. :(
I hope this brand will continue to be good. We can't do anything about it but complain if it's ruined.
ReplyDeletegreed is [not] good.
ReplyDeleteI've tried calling their "customer service" line. No one ever answers and half the time the mail boxes are full. I tried finding a store in Phoenix to purchase in person. The beauty supply company listed on their website says they never heard of Barielle. While I love the product, especially the foot care cream....the price has gone up, it's hard to find a store and their customer service sucks.
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteThe correct number for Barielle customer service is 800-248-8033.
Hope this helps.
