Below: There are some fabulous shades in the China Glaze 'Tis the Season Collection, but I think Party Hearty is probably the one that has gotten the most attention. No reason to explain why now, is there?
Below: I layered 2 coats of Party Hearty over Midnight Kiss for these photos, but I think it works well over almost any shade, or by itself to give a very holiday-appropriate look. While all of the other shades in this collection are what I would call multi-seasonal, Party Hearty has glitter colors that pretty much limit it to the Christmas season. Not that I mind--it'll be like pulling out that favorite ornament every year--even though we only see it once a year for a few weeks, it will always be a holiday favorite!
Below: Midnight Kiss is a bit Orly Luxe-ish, with it's gold foil base and tiny gold and silver glitter. This lighter gold metallic shade covered nicely using 2 coats.
Below: Jingle Bells is a gold shimmer that appears to have a slight amount of silver micro shimmer mixed in. At first glance in the bottle, it appeared to be like many other gold shimmers, but the formula on this one was superb. It has a very high gloss finish and although I used 2 coats, I could've gotten by with just 1.
Below: Here's a quick comparison with another gold favorite, Chanel Gold Fiction. From left to right, Gold Fiction is on the first (index) and third (ring) fingers, while Jingle Bells is on the second (middle) and fourth (pinkie) fingers. Not as close as I thought they were.
This completes the China Glaze 'Tis the Season Collection, and a fine collection it was! As always, I'll be giving away new bottles of the 3 shades posted, along with the candle and shot glass--one can never have too many shot glasses!
