Zoya Gwin & A Wrap-Up of the Reverie Collection

Above & Below: Zoya Gwin is the other orange shade in this collection. This one is more orange, as compared to the red-orange shade of Lana. Like the others in this collection (with the exception of Laney), Gwin is infused with gold shimmer. In brighter lighting, this reminds me of Sunkist Orange Soda--a bright, true orange shade. In darker lighting (below), there is a hint of peachy-pink to it in the slight duo chrome finish.
Below: A group shot of the polishes in the Reverie collection.
I've completed my swatching of Zoya's Reverie collection, and I will give it a thumbs up! Although there are 2 orange shades and 2 pink shades, they are different enough that they don't compete with each other. The silver shade is the only one that gave me a bit of problem during the application, but it has a foil-like finish, so that's to be expected. The brightness and true foil finish override any problems. That leaves Adina...beautiful, lovely Adina. If you saw my post on Adina earlier today, you know this one was my favorite. The finishes on all of these shades were fantastic, and the gold shimmer and duo chrome factor on 5 out of the 6 was very appealing to me. Scroll down through the week if you'd like to see my individual posts about each of the shades in this collection. As a reminder, an entire Reverie collection along with a Zoya Minicure set, are just some of the goodies included in my 1st Anniversary prize package. You can find all of the details in the upper right corner under Anniversary Prize Sponsors and February Contest.

  1. Mary, that is soooo gorgeous! You are so lucky to have a skin tone that allows you to wear most any color!

  2. That is a deliciously summery shade of orange :D probably my favourite orange ever

  3. Really very nice orange shade, and I usualy avoid orange shades!

  4. You do have the perfect skintone for every shade. I agree with the sweet Evil Angel! I love that orange, it's the gold in it that gets me. I want an orange soda and I don't even like it much. I gave up soda for Lent. It's killing me since I love Diet Dr Pepper Cherry flavor so much. I swore never again to give up buying polish for Lent. That's how I missed out on MAC's Peppermint Patti!

  5. You've managed to make this appear to be several different colors in your pictures, which is probably a most accurate depiction of how she appears in real life. Kudos! Now I wants her!!!

  6. My sister wants "Lana" so badly; I showed her your swatch. :)

  7. I love this color! One of my shadows from the upcoming spring collection looks almost identical to this in the dark lighting shots!

  8. gildedangel~it certainly is, and the gold puts it over the top!

    Evil Angel~thanks! I'm glad you think I have a versatile skin tone, because I don't think so~ha-ha!

SilhouetteScreams~I'm not a big orange fan, but both of the oranges in this collection I liked.

Day~I avoid them too, but the gold in these makes them really nice.

Lucy~I remember last year when you missed out on the PP. At least you made it through otherwise! I usually give up sweets or something for Lent, but that doesn't always work out well either.

rotarygirl~all of these, with the exception of the silver are somewhat duo chromatic. They're beautiful!

Asami~it's a lovely shade, reminds me a bit of a tangerine!

Bella Sugar Cosmetics~that sounds beautiful! Can't wait to see it.
