NYC Wing It Wine Creme~A 94¢ Duo Chrome?

Above & Below: Is it just me, or does this seem to be a slight duo chrome finish? NYC's Wing It Wine Creme appears to change from a light burgundy to a mauve, to a carnation pink shimmer, depending on the lighting. The finish not only changes color (rose to gold), but also changes from a metallic/foil to a shimmer.
Could it be? A duo chrome from NYC? I would have to say that it is, although it's certainly not as strong of a duo chrome as other polishes, but it's still a little entertaining! This shade is called Wing It Wine Creme, although I'm not sure where the 'creme' comes into play. I picked this up a while back at Target for just 94¢, along with some other shades in this line for the same price. It's definitely not a creme, but a shimmer with a smooth almost metallic or foil finish. In normal lighting/low lighting, it looks like a light burgundy shimmer with hints of mauve. Once it gets under brighter lighting, it flashes rose to gold. I think for the price, plus the entertainment value it provided me while viewing it under different lighting, was worth it. Clearly, I need to find another form of entertainment!

  4. Ohh how I love duochrome. Nina Ultra Pro has a few, I have Molten Gold and it's pretty and not too expensive, especially for the quality. Love Nina.

  5. Weird, I have the same polish, but it definitely doesn't look like that -- just a slightly shimmery wine red. Maybe the formula has changed? If so, I need to get another bottle, because it looks gorgeous on your nails!

  8. Great price, duochrome and pretty to boot! Looks lovely on you. Polish is greatly entertaining. All the nice time acquiring, applying and admiring the polish. We're all just special people for this type of entertainment.

Brooke~NYC makes some pretty shades...not always the best formula, but they work fine with a good base/top coat.

Danica~I thought I had that Nina polish, but I can't seem to find it! They do make a nice polish, I agree.
