Above & Below: QRS Toffy is a metallic frost in a shade of light beige. This was 3 coats, although it dried quickly. The above pictures are outdoors at the start of some much needed rain, no flash. Below shots are indoors with a flash.

I already posted QRS Orange Slush as my Nail of the Day, so now I'll show you QRS Toffy and call it my Nail of the Night. This is the 13th QRS polish I've tried since I received my order last month and I have loved them all. However, this one just isn't really doing anything for me. I'll blame it on me, because I don't care much for frosty/metallic finishes. Combine that with the fact that it's a very plain shade (a silvery light beige), so I'm just so-so on this one. But I must give it some credit, because I applied 3 coats rather quickly and it dried almost immediately. It was beginning to rain, so I couldn't get a complete opinion of it outside, although I did notice that it appears more silvery outdoors and more of a light beige indoors. I don't hate it by any means, it just isn't impressing me color-wise. It's quite foily though and I think it might work nicely as a Konad stamping color over a dark brown or black shade.

My blog reading and leaving comments on my blog and yours is way behind and I apologize for that. Between all of the Zoya swatching, the Organic & Natural Beauty reading/reviewing and little Daily Contests I'm doing, trying to stay on top of things this month is a bit of a challenge! I've read all of your comments and appreciate every one of them and hopefully I can get back to my normal routine over the weekend.

  1. I have several of this sort of shade. They are nice colors. Nothing to get excited over but they are clean looking. Thanks for all your hard work. I really appreciate all of the photos and good writing your doing. Not to mention research that time lots of time. Your blog has come a long way. I love to read a well written thought out blog. Lots of content and lovely photos. You really have a blog to be proud of. Your also very giving and a good friend to all. Your just a sweetheart! I too am way behind in reading all the blogs. I've been obsessed with playing a game. I read a few of my favorite blogs, make some comments and go back to the game.

  2. I agree with Lucy on all of the above!

Nice work appropriate colour - not overly original but very serviceable I'm sure!

  3. I agree with everything Lucy and Helen said :)I'm not crazy about frost/metallics either. It is a nice colour, but kind of 'blah' at the same time.

P.S. Thanks for the link to QRS! Mine showed up a few days ago and I love them!

  4. Lucy~thank you for all of the kindness! I really enjoy doing my bog and it's turning into a bit more than I intended when I started it, but that's certainly not a bad thing. Your game sounds interesting, what is it?

Helen~thank you! It is a good neutral color and good for work, I agree.

Pinkginger~it's an appropriate and nice color for certain things, I agree, but I like something with a bit more color I guess. Glad you loved your order, I'll look forward to you posting it!

  5. That is a really pretty shade! I love it. It's right up my alley.
Don't worry, you've been super busy and I'm sure everyone understands that!

  6. Hey Mary , I love your blog and all the great swatches.

  7. Nicole~it's a pretty shade, I think I'm just used to a bit more colors!

Princess~hi! Thanks so much, I certainly enjoy your blog also :)
