Below: SpaRitual is owned by Orly founder Jeff Pink's daughter-in-law, Shel Pink. So in keeping it all in the family, today's 'Natural & Organic Beauty' giveaway will be for this set of my favorite Orly treatments. See below in the post on how to enter your name to win this set. Products included are Bonder (base coat), Won't Chip (top coat), No Bite (I use this when I am tempted to bite a hang nail!), Smudge Fixer (a miracle for fixing smudges), and Nail Rescue (yes, another miracle! This is fantastic for fixing splits and tears, or strengthening a trouble nail).
Continuing the focus on 'Natural & Organic Beauty', today's Brand Focus is SpaRitual, one of the leaders in the Big-3 Free and Vegan polish movement. Here is some information from the company that spells out their history and philosophy:
In January 2005, Shel Pink (Orly founder Jeff Pink's daughter-in-law) created SpaRitual, a Vegan line of nail lacquers and treatment products that are also DBP and Formaldehyde free. What ultimately solidified Pink’s mission was motherhood. “Becoming a mother awakened me in many ways. Seeing the world through the eyes of my children filled me with the desire to take an active role in improving our environmental situation.” Pink’s concept for SpaRitual defied the usual manufacturing protocols. She insisted that all formulas and packaging be produced to create the lightest possible eco-“footprint”, utilizing cruelty-free ingredients and recycled/recyclable materials exclusively. Perhaps more importantly, SpaRitual redefines the beauty industry philosophically. The brand’s holistic, spiritually grounded treatments challenge the conventional notion that beauty services and products are by definition frivolous. Developed to treat the whole person, Pink explains that the brand, “constantly explores not only how to tread lightly on the environment, but also how to balance people holistically with the treatment products. This is only the beginning of how SpaRitual can contribute to the planet in a meaningful way.”
Although I was familiar with the SpaRitual brand, I didn't own any of their polishes until earlier this month. I've been wanting to add some of them to my collection, so I ordered them knowing they would fit in nicely with my 'Natural & Organic Beauty' theme. I am very pleased with the 3 I bought and after using them, I'm sure I'll be buying more of them in the future. They applied very nicely in 2 coats and dried at a normal rate. The handle is similar to Orly's, being made of rubber which allows for easy handling during the application. The brush is a little smaller than most polishes, but it caused no issues for me. I also noticed that the removal was easier than with most polishes. They seem to have quite a range of colors/finishes and come out with new collections several times during the year. Their latest release coming next month is called Forbidden, and includes 5 cremes and one shimmery frost. They also offer natural and holistic oils and bath salts, as well as hand and nail care products and treatments. I have never seen this line in any stores or salons, but you can find a variety of their products and the best pricing here.
Orly and SpaRitual are somewhat related companies, so I wanted to offer a giveaway with this post using some of my favorite Orly treatments pictured above. If you'd like a chance to win this set, leave your e-mail in the comments down below. I'll cross-post on Twitter and hold a random drawing tomorrow for all entries received by Noon tomorrow, August 18. Good luck and thanks again for all of your comments and e-mails this month regarding the 'Natural & Organic' Theme. I'm glad you're enjoying it and I hope you're having as much fun with the giveaways as I am!
