ORLY Holiday 2009 Collection

I received some information regarding upcoming Orly collections and thought I'd share it with you, in case you weren't aware of them. As most of you know, their Once Upon A Time collection is available at Victoria Nail Supply and has also recently been spotted in individual bottles at Sally Beauty. That collection, in my opinion, was outstanding simply because of the variety of shades that it included. You can find my post on Once Upon A Time here. I'd read on various other blogs in early June that they were coming out with a matte collection, Matte Couture, which will include a blue, black and purple shade and is scheduled for a September debut. Their holiday collection, Femme Fatale, includes three "irresistibly rich reds and browns", according to the press release. These are scheduled for a November release and I'm hoping to have them much sooner so I can preview them for you. The shades look somewhat different in the picture than the way they are described, so I'll be anxious to see them in real life. In reading through some of the literature I received, I learned something new...maybe you all were aware of this, but I'm kind of slow sometimes! Shel Pink, the woman behind Spa Ritual polishes, is the daughter-in-law of Jeff Pink, the creator of Orly.

  1. Thanks for the information. I have to get that Once Upon a Time Collection. I order the 3 special Rescue Beauty Lounge Polishes. How lucky for nail polish bloggers to have nail polish made specially for them!

  2. Thanks for The info, I think this collection is kinda plain, but maybe it will be better in person.

  3. yayyyyy I'm back! Explorer headache over! Yippee.

I think I'm more excited about being able to comment again than about this collection though.

I LOVE your little spinny photo gallery - is that new?

  4. I read: irresistibly rich reds and browns and was sold already! Thanks for sharing the news I can't wait to see them swatched.

  5. Lucy~you're most welcome. Once Upon a Time is a fabulous collection. That is wonderful that those 3 got to work with RBL and create their own polish. A nice tribute that they deserve for all of their hard work.

Kitty~I don't think the picture describes how they truly look, but I'm thinking the one in the center is going to be my favorite.

Helen~glad you're back also! No, the spinny thing isn't new, but you've reminded me I need to update it!

Kae~I can't wait to see them, I think they'll be classic and rich looking.
