Covergirl Outlast Lipstain Review

Above & Below: Covergirl Outlast Lipstain in Teasing Blush. Don't pay too much attention to the rest of my's Sunday and I didn't spend too much time on it because I've got yardwork to do :)
I was recently sent a tube of Covergirl Outlast Lipstain in the shade 'Teasing Blush' to sample. No review was required, but I was impressed with the product, so I thought I'd share my opinion with you. This can be purchased at most drugstores and Walmart and Target-type stores. It retails for $7.29 and often goes on sale for less. I'm not a big fan of lipstains because the ones I've tried in the past seem to settle into the fine lines on your lips and if you aren't very precise with your application, especially around the edge of your lips, you're just asking for trouble! What I liked about this is it's very lightweight in feeling and the color lasted over 6 hours before I noticed it lightening up a bit. It's in an applicator tube much like a felt tip pen. It comes in 10 shades, although I'm not crazy about this shade on me because I tend to wear shades that aren't quite this bright. So I'm going to look for a one that's more in my comfort zone. It dried quickly and there was no smearing at all. It's non-transferable, so it won't rub off. It felt more moisturising than other lipstains I've used and I imagine that's because there's no alcohol in it and it's water-based. It also contains glycerin to condition your lips and has a light, raspberry-vanilla scent. The shade actually came out more vivid than the color of the tube, so keep that in mind if you plan on purchasing these. The only thing I didn't like about these is that they dry to a fairly matte finish and I prefer the feel and look of a glossier product, so I topped it off with a touch of Aquaphor just to add some shine.

  1. it looks gorjuzzzzz on you mary
u look amazing all dolled up =D

  2. I have wrinkly lips and stains always 'bleed' on me so I've stayed away! This looks so nice on you! So when you want to take it off, is it hard to remove?
You are gonna be looking totally fab in your garden today! :)

  3. This colour may be outside your comfort zone but it's gorgeous on you! I'm going to have to check these out.

  4. It looks great on you.. you should wear it more often! The whole concept of the pen i like but ive never tried one for myself.. yet!
    Is it hard to remove?

Did the package arrive yet? English postal services can be a bit lazy!

  5. You look amazing as always! I'm not a fan of lip stains either. Or lipstick in general. It looks great on you!

  6. Wow, I've never seen a lip product with a felt tip applicator...looks quite interesting. Thanks for the review.

  7. I don't have a lot of experience with CoverGirl, but the results of this lipstain are beautiful. The color suits your skin tone perfectly. Even if it's not a typical choice for you, it's a very successful experiment. I hope you get more wear out of it.

  8. Ooh that is really nice! And I think that's a gret Sunday look - yesterday mine consisted of zero makeup and curly hair!

  9. Nailz~ha-ha, all dolled up to do yardwork, no less! Thank you :)

Kae~I've had the bleeding issue too with stains, but this one doesn't seem to do that at all. And it does come off without a problem.

Selina~well thank you! I feel kind of odd wearing a color so bright, but maybe if I did it more often, I'd get used to it :)

Tali~I think I'll try to use some other shades and see how I like them, rather than always wearing the same shade family. It comes right off when I wash my face. No package yet, but our postal system is slow too, but you can be sure I'll post it when it arrives :)

Nail Fanatic~thank you, you are too kind. Stains have always bothered me with their application, but I'm liking this one.

Chrissy~you're welcome! The other few I have all have this type of tip, but this one is a bit bigger so it seems to make the application easier.

Diana~I don't use too much in this line either, but I do like this product. It's a bit bright, but I'm getting used to it!

Helen~my Sunday look is usually like yours was, which is probably good for our hair and skin to take a break!

  10. You look so pretty. Please wear more colors like this. It really brings a light to your face. I couldn't get over what a difference a shade can make. I know your not used to the brighter color. Try to wear brighter colors. Really look beautiful. I was wondering about this brand. The others I've tried were really drying. Good idea to wear some gloss over it.
