China Glaze Retro Diva in Cords

Here is the second of the six polishes in this set (Let's Groove was posted below, earlier today). This is a hard shade for me to describe...in the bottle and on the nail I thought it looked to be the color of a nickel coin. But as you can see in the photos, it's darker than that and seems to have a touch of bronze, giving it a less 'silver' look. It's a silver shade, but perhaps Pewter is a better comparison. It is not as bright as stainless steel, but in the same shade family. I'm also unsure as to how to describe the finish. It's a subtle shimmer, but it also appears to be somewhat metallic. Is it a shimtallic? A Metimmer? The pictures were taken at close range, but from a normal viewing distance I'd say it looks more metallic than shimmery. Coming next will be Short & Sassy, a deep garnet red shimmer. Stay tuned for more!
This is a pretty shade on you. It is a hard finish to describe. All I know is it's purty.
ReplyDeleteI think that it seems more metallic then shimmer, anyway it looks cool.
ReplyDeletethe color is very much like pewter.
It's a pretty metallic shade :)
ReplyDeleteThe finish is particular, hard to describe.
Lucy~thank you. It's different and nothing terriblt special, but pretty.
ReplyDeleteInbal~I agree, more metallic than shimmer. I have some pewter, but I didn't think to hold it next to it!
Celine~I couldn't find the right words to describe it, so it's best to go by the picture and not my written description. :)
Yup, that's me all over! I have a million like this, so I guess I don't need this one!
