A Busy Weekend

Above & Below: My nieces at Julie's baby shower that we hosted today. Michelle is on the left and because she didn't have any polish on (yes, she really is my niece! I'll have to get on her about that) she was not allowed to show her hands. Julie is on the right, due with baby in November. She is wearing China Glaze Limbo Bimbo. Below is Kaye, one of our guests. She's a hair stylist and even had her polish in her purse! She's wearing OPI Flashbulb Fuchsia.
Below: This punch was so good and my niece kept calling it swamp water punch because of the color, but all I kept thinking was, "Damn, why didn't I wear Misa Dirty Sexy Money?" because in real life it was exactly that color!
Below: Oops, while I was shopping for baby clothes I accidently found myself buying this. It won't really work for the baby, but it'll work for me :)
This weekend was filled with preparing for my nieces' baby shower which we had today, so I haven't had time to post until now. My own nails are wearing Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in Flashy Fuchsia, but I'm too tired to get up and take a picture! I knew I'd be too busy to take pictures of my nails or post much today, which made me feel a bit bad. So I made sure to take some pictures at the shower, posed intentionally to show their nails, and they were all good sports about letting me do that for my blog. We all seem to have worn bright pinks, even though the baby is going to be a boy. I think everyone had a good time and it's always nice to get together. I hope you all had a great weekend too!
I got behind reading and commenting on everyone else's blog this weekend, so I apologize and will get back into my routine tomorrow :)

  1. The necklace is to die for!! I love the matching earings but the necklace is deffinatley more unique!

The top is perfect for summer.. i love anything orange or coral and this is the perfect mix.. it will show off you skin tone fabulously!

I like the look of the punch.. your too funny about thinking of coordinating colors! hehe :)

  2. I love the top AND the jewelry! They are so much fun for summer.
Even though you didn't post your own nails this round, it still manages to be a totally fun polish post looking at your guests' polish and also the Misa punch, lol! Planning and hosting a baby shower is tiring so that you posted at all is dedication :) You know I'm trying to be dedicated myself.
By the way, I've been meaning to tell you I LOVE your new picture!

  3. What fun you guys must have had! I love what you picked up for! We've been busy too. It was Summer's birthday last Tuesday. And some how we manged to celebrate all week, and into the week! It didn't leave me any time for nails. I'm trying to play catch up too! With reading everyones!

  4. I'm suprised you had time at all to post. Hosting a baby shower is hard work! Don't feel bad about not posting your nails. We still have nails to look at. I enjoy hearing about your party. What is your DSM punch made with? Your so funny to think of matching with the punch! I love the top you picked out. Pretty pattern and the jewelry is nice also. Your going to look hot. How about posting a picture of you in the outfit? I know you have nothing better to do. By the way, I used a brush to take off polish smudges. It worked out pretty good.

  5. Tali~thank you I love the necklace too, the earring were just a bonus. That punch was so good and it DID match DSM!

Nicole~aww, that's very nice of you to say, makes me feel a little less guilty! I'm glad you like the picture, I thought I should update old one I was wearing a sweater and since it IS summer...!

Kitty~it was alot of fun :)

Velvet~sounds like your daughter had a fun birthday! All this real life stuff is interferring with our nail habit! Or maybe it's the other way around :)

Lucy~my sis-in-law made the punch and all I remember was GInger Ale and lime sherbet. It was so good and refreshing though. Glad a brush works a bit better for you. You might have to experiment until you find just the right one. Maybe I'll do a post with the outfit...but now I want some sandals with orange/coral beads on them to complete the look!

  6. That's so funny that you wouldn't take a photo of your niece's hands as she wasn't wearing any polish!

    Sounds like a fun party!
