Above and Below: Flirtini in indirect sunlight and with flash. Below you can see the jelly-like finish that is evident in darker lighting.
I've been working in the yard most of the day so my previous manicure was more than ruined. Especially because I had 6 coats of polish on (see me earlier post today) that never really dried! I wanted to try another one of the Shades colors that Barielle sent me because I was bothered by the fact that, despite good reviews, the Mysterious that I used this morning left me less than impressed. I have a couple of other Barielle's and they have always applied very nicely. I'm happy to report that Flirtini worked wonderfully. I'll add a bit of thinner to Mysterious and see if that doesn't cure the problem. Flirtini applied perfectly in 2 coats and in certain light looks almost like a jelly finish. The color in the bottle is a darker reddish-magenta creme, but once applied it appears more magenta in some lighting, more cranberry in others. It dried extremely quickly and this formula seemed much more 'normal' when compared to the Mysterious. Barielle's site has a fun section that allows you to choose your skin tone and then apply the polishes in order to get a better idea of how they may look on you. If you go to barielle.com/shades you can check it out. They also are offering buy 2 get one free on their polishes, free shipping over $50.00 and 10% off purchases over $60.00.
